Client Introduction
Queensland Nickel is an established Nickel Refinery situated approximately half an hour north of Townsville. It was established in the late 1970s and sourced the majority of its ore from the mining town of Greenvale, where it was shipped directly to the refinery for processing and then shipped to the Townsville Port for export.
Client Requirements
- The client required a web based notice board where safety information or alerts be posted.
- The notice board needed to be flexible.
- Section headings needed to be changeable.
- A scheduling system to enable the entry of information at any point in time and to allow it to display only for a specific time period or date range was required.
- New entries to the notice board should stand out from previous entries.
- It needed to be simple to use and update.
- The client required access control.
- The client required a search facility.

The notice board banner can be easily tailored by the client to suit their business. The user can add their logo, link to other sites, modify the colours used and so forth. The site is easily linked into the client's intranet site. -
