Client Requirements
Like all service-based organizations, Osmotion required an integrated business management system which captured client support calls, project set-up and tracking, and timesheet entries. The system was also required to interface with MYOB, our accounting and payroll system.
The system needed to:
- Allow different access levels;
- Create invoices, sourcing the information from project and timesheet information;
- Interface with MYOB;
- Produce project and other related management reports;
- Support a Call Register which provided the functionality to automatically update staff timesheets;
- Allow for document storage and document management;
- Record both chargeable and non-chargeable tasks and hours for each staff member.
After investigating available systems, no off-the-shelf product suited all of our business management requirements. Our organization had the skill set required, so we set about building a system customised exactly to our needs.
The system has been built using the latest web technologies and is based on Microsoft's .NET framework.

Web Based
As it is a web based product, businesses do not need to purchase or install costly software. All the users require is access to Internet Explorer 6 or above. Navigation of the site is very user friendly. -
Search Features
An easy to use search facility is available. The search functionality searches the entire site to locate documents that meet the search criteria. -
Reporting
The system has a range of standard management and project reports. These include: status reports on quotes, detailed project reporting, project staff details, billing and invoicing and support call register by client. -
MYOB Interface
The MYOB interface assists staff members in producing and modifying invoice details via a web interface.
